Orlande de Lassus
Incredibly prolific, Orlande de Lassus wrote over 2,000 musical works including 530 motets, 175 Italian madrigals and villanellas, 150 French chansons, and 90 German lieder. He wrote sacred, secular, and parody pieces in Latin, French, German, and Italian.
